Following the landmark acquisition of Pureology in 2007, I was recruited by the L’Oreal team to help orchestrate the seamless transition of this beloved brand from its Southern California roots to the L’Oreal USA headquarters in New York, NY. As a key member of the original marketing team that grew Pureology from a small indie start-up to the leading color care brand in the industry, I played an instrumental role in transferring and instilling the brand heritage and loyal customer and stylist following into the powerhouse of L’Oreal’s Professional Products Division. As a Brand Manager for Pureology, I was responsible for the development of dynamic marketing programs, promotions, point-of-purchase displays, and collateral materials to support domestic business. In this role, I also interfaced cross-departmentally to ensure broad buy-in and timeliness while driving sales and profitability goals even during recession times.
A year into my L’Oreal journey, I was promoted to Marketing Director for Redken 5th Avenue’s Haircare and Styling Categories. As Director, I lead all promotional programs supporting domestic business, new product launches, budget management, and forecasting to drive growth. What I loved most about my time with L’Oreal was collaborating with our incredibly talented team to bring new product launches to life including Style Connection, the Extreme Collection and Nature’s Rescue, Redken’s debut into the clean beauty space.
